1. Acceptance of These Terms
Racing House provides horse-racing form guides, race-day hospitality information and related content for adults 18 years and older. By browsing the site, reading any tip notes, or sending an enquiry through the contact form, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms of Use and that you will use the information lawfully and responsibly.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect operational, legal or service changes. The version published on this page will apply from the date of posting, so please review it before relying on any service detail or submitting a booking enquiry.
2. Information, Form Reading and Betting Guidance
The content on Racing House is intended to support general horse-racing understanding. Our form guides, pace map notes, track condition notes, racecard shortlist items and meeting recap notes are based on race analysis and practical form reading, not guarantees. Racing is unpredictable and no preview can remove risk.
When you use our Daily Tip Notes, Weekend Preview Service or Feature Meeting Tips, you should assess your own budget and judgement before placing any bet. Responsible betting means knowing that losses can happen, keeping wagering within your means, and treating all racing information as guidance only.
- Check recent runs, class changes, draw position, distance suitability and track condition.
- Read the full racecard, not only the headline selection.
- For novice punters, start with smaller stakes and ask questions before betting.
- Seek help early if betting stops being enjoyable or controlled.
We do not promise wins, returns or any particular outcome from using our service.
3. Race-Day Hospitality and Booking Conditions
Hospitality packages and race-day support are offered for selected race meetings at South African racecourses including Turffontein, Greyville, Kenilworth, Scottsville and Fairview, subject to availability and venue rules. Our team will provide the practical details needed for the day, including meeting times, access arrangements and any venue-specific instructions that apply.
All hospitality bookings are subject to confirmation, payment where applicable, and attendance rules set by the racecourse or event host. Dress standards, entry checks, smoking restrictions, permitted items and parking arrangements may differ from one venue to another. Clients are expected to follow all venue directions and behave considerately toward other guests, staff and officials.
- Arrive on time and keep your booking details available if requested.
- Follow racecourse safety notices and steward instructions.
- Respect reserved seating, hospitality areas and shared spaces.
- Do not obstruct viewing areas, betting facilities or walkways.
4. Client Conduct and Racecourse Etiquette
Racing House expects all clients to act respectfully during previews, hospitality outings and race-day communication. Race meetings are public sporting events and good etiquette helps everyone enjoy the day. Please keep noise at a reasonable level during the running of races, avoid blocking the view of others, and allow staff and officials to do their work without interruption.
If you join a race-day outing from Rosebank, Sandton, Midrand, Randburg, Bedfordview, Pretoria, Centurion or Kempton Park, you are responsible for your personal conduct from departure to return. We may refuse service or withdraw hospitality access where conduct is unsafe, abusive, disruptive or unlawful.
5. Accuracy of Content and Service Availability
We aim to keep meeting previews, track notes and hospitality details accurate and current, but race declarations, weather conditions, going changes, field sizes, scratchings and venue arrangements can change quickly. Information posted before a race may be altered by the racecourse, governing body or event organiser at short notice.
While we make reasonable efforts to keep content useful for punters and racing guests, we do not accept responsibility for decisions made solely on the basis of our material. You should always verify final race times, field information and venue instructions before travelling or betting.
- Service availability may vary by meeting and season.
- Internet access and weather can affect communications.
- Race-day hospitality may be limited by venue capacity or operational changes.
6. Privacy, Contact and Limitation of Liability
When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, you consent to us using your details only for the purpose of responding to your request, managing a booking enquiry, or providing related service communication. You should provide accurate information and keep your own records of any arrangements made.
Racing House is operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd from Rosebank, Johannesburg. To the fullest extent allowed by South African law, we are not liable for indirect loss, missed opportunities, travel delays, betting losses, or any damage arising from use of the site, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue in force.
7. Responsible Use of the Site
Racing House is intended for adults 18+ only. If you are looking at betting-related content, please do so with caution and only where it is lawful for you to bet. Use the service as a reference point for form reading, race-day planning and hospitality information, not as a substitute for personal judgement.
If racing starts to feel like a problem, stop and seek support from a trusted person or a professional service. Gambling should remain a leisure activity, not a financial plan.
